jcb 3cx 1990 capacities?

Can anyone answer the following questions about a 1990 jcb 3cx grey cab.

1. Capacity of Gear Box (it has a powershutle box)
2. Capacity of Cooling system
3. Capacity of engine oil (it has a turbo)
4. Location of spin on hydraulic filter
5. Oil type for fr axle & Hubs
6. Oil type for rr axle & Hubs
7. When you first start the engine a buzer sounds, the rev counter remains at rest and the electrical light stays on - as if the fan belt were slipping and then catching. I have fitted a new fan belt and checked its tension. The engine oil light goes out straight away as does the gear box light.

I down loaded a maual for £14 but it is for much newer machines. I have had no luck finding one for the 1990 machine.

filter exploding is caused by leaving the filter in way too long and it closes up with a water build up so there is a build up of pressure until .............bam

Hydraulic sistem capacity it's around 34,5 gal? 130-135 liter?

hi ben the following may help,

gearbox 4wd 20.8 litres / 2 wheel drive 18.6 litres,aqf oil
engine oil 11 litres
coolant 50;50 mix 17 litres
front axle 15 litres hubs 1.4 ( x2 ) both gear oil 80/90
rear axle 25 or 28 litres depending on serial number, jcb special gear oil for either
hydraulic filter is under bonnet next to battery tray under front window,undo the 4 dome bolts on top of filter housing and pull out element.

charging light should go out after start up check charging system for connections and correct operation
if light goes out but rev counter does not move your dashboard proabley needs replacing, look on e-bay a guy is selling them for 50 quid brand new

Do a search on the 3CX questions here - I put up a pointer to a reasonable priced source for a printed copy of the project 7 manual - the secret is that the manual doesn't have 3cx in it's title - it refers to the USA name (1402???) but internally the manual is for both models

Excess pressure in the return pipe - clogged filter?

I found the hydraulic filter under the engine cover. It was not a spin on but a cartridge.

When I removed the old one it had a large hole in the side almost like it had exploded. Can anyone tell me what may have caused this?
