How can I fix my blaupunkt radio CD player?

My CD player turns itself on and off intermitently and gets worse in hot weather. It makes no difference if it's on CD or Radio.

I've checked all the wiring connections into the back and everything looks ok, most of the connections are crimped together with the power connectors going through a connector block.

Someone suggested I clean the contacts between the removeable front and the player, which I did, but this didn't make a noticible difference.

The model of CD player is a Blaupunkt Lausanne(?) bought in 2001.
