My kubota b7100 hst will barely move forward or backwards, it will start but thats it. I know that it has something to do with the hydrostatic transmission..... i need some troubleshooting for the problem.
The correct proceedure to analyse the problem is by fitting pressure test gauges to the 3 different ports in the hst unit. Rev the engine to 2800 rpm, push the pedal down and take the readings. This will tell you where the fault lies.

I had the same problem with my B7100HST a year ago and cleaning the screen restored most of the power. It still doesn't pull as strong as it used to. The screen looks like a large bolt at the end of the hydraulic line just inside the left rear tire, near the front of the tire.

I got to your question because a friend of mine has the same problem on his B7100, I was on the internet to see about locating a used trans., he said it was not in the front axil. Not sure were the kubota bone yards are and what the cost would be
