Mend BMW 328i Door Passenger Window

auto door not working?

I have a 1996 BMW 328i convertible.The passenger side window was going up half way pushed once,pushed twice went all the way.This went on for a while.Now it got stuck half way,does not work at all.What is wrong? Is it the button switch or motor or what else?
