washing machine does not drain or spin?

Hi,
I have had simalar problems in the past. 9 times out of 10 its the carbon brushes located on either side of the motor. not a difficult or expensive job cost less than £10,if you take the lid off your washing machine you will see the motor which drives the belt. make sure you turn the power off before you start. hope this solves your problem,good luck.
