boiler comes on but no hot water and heating?

Bit vague Elvis... best to say make & model of boiler and what does "come on" mean? The main burner? Just the Pilot? Just Fan and lights? And when it does come on how long does it stay on?

And lay off the burgers Elvis, too many will kill you.
