How can I tell my Canon Pixma MP 130/110 printer to only print in black??

How can I tell my Canon Pixma MP 130/110 printer to only print in black?? I don't want to continue buying colour cartridges but whenever I go to print something with colour in it the printer demands that I replace the colour cartridge. There must be a simple way to instruct the printer to only use black ink but I cannot find it. Please help!
