whirlpool LXR9245E washing machine trickles water when filling?

I have a whirlpool LXR9245E washing machine that barely trickels water when I try to fill it. Ive checked the hose and the spicket its connected to and they seem fine. (water flows well at that point) Im, wondering if there is some sort of filter on the water inlet inside the machine? Or if the inlet valve may need replaced.
