You have saved my bacon... we just sold our camper on ebay, only to find that the flush wasn't pumping. USA customer service couldn't (or wouldn't) help, and the "schematics" they directed me to were worthless... I have all but removed the toilet, only to find that the d*** pump is under the TP!!
THAHKS SO MUCH!!!!

Hope you are reading this Sue Howard, You should never run any submersable pump when it's not submereged in water you will damage it. If you talking the pump cable dirty it would look like that sitting in water.Just wipe it off. I would send full file I have on repairing /replacing pumps on C2 but forum no longer allows e-mail addresses inserted on the forum in either questions or answers. If you haven't cut off the old pump yet try the 'freeing impeler on the above or below depending where the forum puts this message. Post if you having trouble. That answer was SOOO helpful to me. I've spent the afternoon trying to make my pump work... the vehicle is so old, an E Reg, that the wiring is all rusty looking and yukky. I've got as far as checking the fuse and that's ok and I've pulled the wires apart (from the pump to the other wire, where-ever that one leads to...) and I've been thinking that just twisting the wires together and taping them and then covering them with that rubber sleeve didn't seem too professional. Now I know to buy those special things from the car spare men.. But, if the pump is NOT knackered then shouldn't it make a whirring noise or something when you try to flush the loo? Even if it is not in water? Or does it ONLY activate when submersed??

I have compiled a help file but the forum has put blocks on add e-mail addresses so can't send. So sit back and read.
You obviously know the pump is under the toilet roll cup holder which pulls out. You will need two shrink joints obtainable I'm told from car spares shops.
Cut the wire 6inches from the pump. Cut the new pump wire leaving about 10 inches on the pump or just nip off the ends this gives spare wire to keep joint out of the water.. Strip the ends. Look at the wires on both the remaning piece in tank and the new pump wire one conductor will have a secondary thin trace colour, they may be different but doesn't matter slide on the shrink sleave and twist the ends of the wires together side the sleave over the joint. Same with the two plain conductors sleave then twist slide over joint and apply heat to the sleaves they shrink down forming a hopefully water tight seal wrap in insulating tape after. Replace pump and put any surplus wire on the shelf at back of the water tank.
Before you do this check the pump impeler on the old pump has not stuck, turn it gently with small screwdriver until it runs free then try it out [IN water not dry ] if it works then keep new pump as emergency. You can highlight this and paste into a word file. Hope this is clear. What ever don't try replacing the cable back to the microswitches you'll never get the new wire to feed around the back of the unit.
