my 98 ford escort needs dash disassembly how do i do that????

my heat isnt blowing so i want in side the stereo to have a look i can see 4 holes on opposite sides of tape deck. how do i get the thing out or is there an easier wat to solve my problem. I think the blower is shorted out because smoke came from the dash i need to find the faulty wires.
