Zanussi FJ1295 won't spin?

The power light flickers when on, although power seems constant. The door lock light is fine. The machine will not spin on either of the spin settings and will not proceed past the spin. It recognises the spin requirement as you hear it draining ready to spin but goes no further. Drains ok. Fault seems to have come recently and not been gradual
