Acer laptop screen shattered, can I connect to a television?

I broke my screen on my mini laptop, I am far away from any replacement facility - specifically West Africa. Can I connect the computer to a television? How do I connect and with what? Does anyone know of any repair/replacement available near West Africa? Would it be cheaper just to buy a new laptop?
