Had this for around 25 years. Using it the other day, there was a bang and lots of smoke. It still seems to work but there is obviously something wrong. Any ideas?
Hi there, if you need your Kenwood mixer repaired or updated, there is a company in Montreal that repairs the mixers in 2 days with full guarantees, etc. They get mixers shipped to them from across the world. www.kenwoodservice.com

(1) Try searching this website for "Kenwood Chef A901".
(2) From previous answers it may be a blown control component (resistor, capacitor or triac), but as it is still working it may be worn out brushes or burnt dirt-dust-fluff.
