code e20 on zanussi washer dryer ZWD1271W?

I had this problem, the manual stated set the program to the hottest setting, put one scoop of washing powder in the appropriate powder holder and set the washer away. I did this cycle twice without any washing in, the washing machine worked perfect after this, clearing the blockage.

check the pump with a multimeter.around 180ohms is normal resistance.does sound like a triac fault on the main pcb from your description although to blow the triac means its shorted out and this is because the resistance on the pump has gone to low.normally its a faulty pump windings that has then blown the main pcb.cost is near on a new machine

Probably a fault with the circuit board which switches the pump on rather than the pump itself.
