Loss of sound on Sky tv?

Hello everyone.
I have just returned home from a stint away working and turned my satellite system back on.
Had to download software as it was out of date, it updates automatically when on standby, software all downloaded and picture is fine but complete sound loss on all channels.
Signal strength and quality fine, and tv sound is fine.
Im stumped can anyone giive me any pointers ?
