Mend Focalpoint Gas Fire Running

gas fire?

My living flame gas fire keeps cutting out when its running. Sometimes it will happen straightaway, sometimes after a couple of hours. It seems that either the gas supply is cutting off or the flame is going out. It is a focalpoint fire.

Pilot shrinkage is the usual cause on these.The pilot gets pulled away from the t/couple.Follow the pilot tube down and just below the pilot head you will see an aeration hole.This hole gets linted up causing the problem.Get a bit of tubing and blow like hell in the hole and you should then get a more stable and bluer pilot.
