got a fiat punto 2000 its hand brake lite keeps cuming on when i go round ?

the lightecums on when going down hill or round corners just wondered why. im pretty handy and probly could fix it but need to know if its drums or the switch and where it is and what to look for any help is grtfull recived

Hi, I've got a 2001 punto and same thing happened to me, got garage to check it all and no problems, no fluid was leaking etc and the guy in garage adjusted some wee switch or disconnected something and i've not had any more probs and that happened about 3 years ago, might just be faulty or oversensitive switch or something like that. My hubby never believed me coz it never happened when he was in car so it made me feel stupid i notice every little thing that goes wrong in cars and tend to get it checked out being a woman, lol.

check your brake fluid is not low ..the handbrake light doubles up as a fluid level indicator if your fluid is low stick your head under the rear of the car and look to see if the rear brakes are leaking fluid onto the rear wheels if not check the braking system all round for leaks and the front pads are not worn out
