how to reset older model Miele washer?

Hi there,
Our Miele washer (W1070 an older model, no electronic) was happily washing away when a power outage in the whole building stopped it. Once the power was back on, the washer did not continue to wash, but just makes a buzzing monotone sound. (similar to when the door is not closed properly-but it is this time)
We let the water out from the separate water drain in the lower part of the machine, but still no door opens. The washer seems to "think" it's still in the middle of washing. How can we reset this? Found some reference to newer models that only a Miele technician can do this with special software, hoping it's easier with this old lady. (no electronics!)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
