Hotpoint WM65 Program Control Module Keeps Blowing Up?
Hello there,
The control module on my hotpoint WM65 keeps blowing up. I've changed the unit out for a new one and this lasted for about 3 washes before going again. The second time it didn't blow up when I turned the machine on but went about half way through a quick wash. Anyone with any ideas???? Don't want to keep throwing new control modules in as they are about £85 each!!!!
A short in the door interlock is a common cause of damage to the timer pcb. A blown track in the top left corner is the usual problem. This can sometimes be cured by soldering a piece of fuse fire along it. Replace the door interlock and try it - they don't cost much. Also check the door seal for holes near the interlock as water spraying onto it will cause the short.
