Mend Derbi DTR 2001 Running Plugs Head

fixing my dtr 2001 model?

iv just got a dtr and i cnt get it running iv put new spark plugs in taken the head off and its not blown its got compression and the spark plug works it jus keeps fludding canenyone help??

im avin the same problem spark plug is blowing try a strong spark plug mine runs with ngk r br9es try it

Also check the condition of the reed valves.and adjustment of the reed valve stopper.Make sure its sealed when you put it back together.usally gasket on one side and sealing compound on the other

if its flooding then the carb is in need of investigation,it will be either the float/float needle or seat/or float height set wrong.but these bike are prown to head gaskets leaking water and losing compression also due to the gasket leaking.a head skim is always recommended and also fitting a genuine gasket not a nasty pattern one.
