Worcester 28Si II problem?

Since a burst pipe in my house, when I turn my boiler on, it works for a few hours and then stops working. Then it fails to ignite altogether. I'm assuming at this stage it is water damage. Do they dry out following exposure to water? I have no manual for it from the previous owners unfortunately. Can anyone advise, before I call the plumbers in?
