IF ANYONE CAN HELP...ON MY WAY WORK THE OTHER DAY MY SCOOTER STARTED TO REV FAST WHEN I STOPPED AT THE LIGHTS,THEN AS I PULLED AWAY IT SLOWED DOWN THEN CUT OUT,,NOW MY KICKSTART WONT MOVE..I ALSO HAD A BIT OF WATER LEAK OUT AFTER IT HAD BEEN LEFT TO COOL..MY WATER AND OIL LEVELS ARE FINE..DONT WANT TO GET RID OF MY SCOOT BUT IF ANY ONE HAD ANY IDEAS WHAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE..
Its something to do with the cogs around the kick start, my runner had the same porblwem, see a specialist, the cogs are cheap and take no time at all to fit, its worth getting it done properly, not tooexpensive and it kicks over with no effort what so ever

well to start with it sounds like it was running out of petrol as they run weak and rev up when they run out of juice,as angela said it sounds like it may have seized up maybe the piston got hot as it was running weak and nipped up in the barrel also what kind of scooter is is ?is it four or two stroke and is it a manual scooter like a vespa or lambretta or is it an auto one and what make and model is it?tell me these things and ill help you
