Mend Vauxhall Vectra Fan Working Hot Checked

my 2004 vectra over heats think the cooling fan not working?

i think my fan has gone it does not kick in when engine gets hot have checked the fuses, all okay, fan belt seems okay. is this a common fault can i fix it or do i need mechanical help ?
