I have a vulcan continental 45/60 de luxe central heating gas boiler, approx 30 years old. A humming rattling sounds transmits from the boiler in the kitchen into the upstairs bedrooms. Have you got any idea what the noise could be. It sounds like a train in the distance.

The boiler is worth persevering with as its like a Rolls Royce.They just dont make them like this anymore.I agree with Gaz,sounds like it needs a flush out.
