Mend Ravenheat Combi Boiler Pressure Home Heating

pressure to high?

my ravenheat combi pressure goes to bar 4 then releases then needs filling up again but if we leave the boiler on contant and turn the heat down it stays fine
what is the problem

The rise in pressure is due to expansion either the pressure vessel has failed or the feed pipe to the vessel is blocked. a simple job if the boiler site is accessable but a job for a professional would be advised.

expansion vessel gone it is cheaper to put another one in the pipe rather than get the one it boiler replaced
