Hi oldfart.

Had the same trouble. ABS and serve lights on. First time i had to change pads on front breaks. They came on again afew days ago.This time it was a ball joint on the steering but it can also be a wheel bearing as they have a magnet fitted in them that picks up any movement in the bearing. Good luck.
