how do I fix my central locking on BMW 3 series?

My car will lock with a key but it will not lock passengers door. This has to be locked manually by pushing it down.
If I am in the car and push the passenger door lock down it will lock all the other doors and if I pull it up it will unlock all the other doors.
My car is a BMW 3 series 325 tds
