thomson sky + wont come out of standby?

Try this at your own risk. Pull out mains then disconnect power lead conneted to hard drive from the board, reconnect mains and switch on. After 3 minutes your sky box should switch on (green light) and work as an ordinary sky box. If this happens then it is a good chance your hard drive needs to be replaced (160mb seagate in my case)

to get your thomson+skybox out of standby, first press and hold the left and right arrow buttons on eather side of the select button, then turn off power for a bit then turn on again still holding button till green light comes on ,
