need to isolate gas to a compact glow worm 80e so that i can drain the system so i can remove a rad, then cap and then refill

Unless I'm missing something.
I don't see why the need to isolate the gas just turn the boiler off and mains water feed to it.
Just remember to protect the carpet or stainable floor covering where your removing the rad.
