Mend Ford Escort Engine Management System

Engine management system?

My Ford Escort has very high revs when idling or going slow in traffic. I have been told I it can't be repaired due to being part of the management system. Is this true or can it be repaired or do I need to replace the management system ? Many thanks

Hi, it sounds like the idle control valve has stuck/failed easy to replace about £25 for the valve.
