Miele front loader washer W828. During a towel wash a loud thumping came from the machine and it stopped. The finish light is on and Rinses is flashing. I have stopped and attempted to restart the wash with the same and different functions according to the manual troubleshoot guide, it will not reset - keeps going back to the same light indicators.
Yep rinse light is a motor fault. sounds like it could be the tacho in the motor if you had a loud thumping before it cut out.

Indication of an internal fault in the machine - could be heater, thermistor, water level pressure switch or the main motor.
