Mend Modena 80E Boiler Combi Heating

MY MODENA 80E BOILER KEEPS GOING ON AND OFF ?

CAN ANYONE HELP? I HAVE A 7 YEAR OLD MODENA 80E COMBI BOILER.IT FIRES UP FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES AND THEN KNOCKS ITSELF OFF.EVEN THOUGH THE HEATING LIGHT IS STAYING ON INSTEAD OF FLASHING

I have the same exact boiler. Same thing happened to me. I noticed while taking a shower that the water was gradually going from hot to cold ..nightmare. Had it checked out and the problem was that the fan had packed up. So it switches itself off when it gets too hot then switches back on when its cooled down. If you take the cover off the boiler it alows for more airflow and sorts it out temporarily. I AM NOT A BOILER ENGINEER!! So use this advise only a guide. Good Luck
