water leaking out of filter/pump cover Zanussi ZWF1200 since cleaning?

I pulled out what I thought was filter to clean it, from bottom right of machine, cleaned it and since I replaced it water has leaked out the bottom of the cover - there appears to be a slight gap between the filter and the machine where it screws in at the bottom of the pump cover. Any suggestions appreciated.
