Without a manual, try a setting of 1 turn out on H/L jets. First ensure that the air filter of the saw is clean, the fuel mix is correct and that the bar and chain are fitted and correctly tensioned. Next turn the high and low carb screws (gently) in as far as they will go. Now turn them both back/out by one turn. Next go to the tickover or LA or idle screw and turn this in by one rotation. Now try to start the saw. If it does not start, keep turning the L screw out by tiny amounts and keep trying to start the saw up to a maximum of one further full turn. Watch out for flooding of the carb if this goes on for some time. When it starts refine the tuning by tuning the L screw in gently untill the saw reaches a peak of revs then starts to slow down. Turn the screw out again and find the highest revs. CAUTION whilst doing this the chain is likely to be moving. Now turn the idle/LA screw out untill the chain stops moving. Now place the saw on a solid surface and with help hold the saw steady and at full revs. Again CAUTION. Turn the high screw in untill the saw reaches a peak of revs and then starts to slow down. Again find the highest revs and this time turn the screw out by 1/4 turn to just below the maximum revs. Take the saw to a pice of timber and make a cut at full revs. Adjust H screw as needed for maximum power when cutting.
