i have a creda double oven the bottom oven will not get above warm,it will light and stay lit but will not cook anything as it will not get warm enough

On initial lighting of the oven do you have to hold a button in for a few seconds before it stays lit.If you do it sounds like the thermocoupling is on its way out.
