i have just had the same problem with mine and i took it to the garage, the mechanic said it was a small plastic wheel in the mechanism which was worn and was forcing the window to rise at an angle and so wont wind all the way up, i think think it was about £10 to repair and now works fine, i hope that helps you a little, good luck.
