Mend Beko Washing Machine Grinding Noise

Beko Washing Machine making grinding noise when rinse and spinning?

Hi,

My good faithful old washing machine has started making horrendous noises when on rinse (sometimes even when washing) and mostly a high pitch grinding/screaming sound when spinning.

Please could you tell me what it may be (inc what parts I need to order) and how to fix it?

I use it constantly for washing baby clothes. So it's really important to me.

This is a fab website and we fixed my condenser drier through here. Please keep it simple tho as I am a newbie at this and not got a clue about washing machines!

OK, I have pulled seal away and at 6 O clock position tried lifting drum up but absolutely will not budge.

Drum will 'give' with some movement back and forth (to the front door and back though) - hoping that is normal!

Thank you for your reply.
If I try and lift the drunm at 6 oclock position, does that mean I have to take the front off to do it?

Also, can I still keep running the washing machine in the meantime (been using it for months).

I put a lot of horse stuff through the machine, have cleared the filter and was wondering if I broke it with a small stone maybe?

Maybe I can ring you when it is on the rinse cycle and hold the phone out? :)

either bearings or motor bearings.put your fingers under the bottom of the stainless steel inner drum at 6 o clock possition and try lifting it up.if there is lift in an upwards direction the drum bearings have gone.if it has a circulation pump this could be the noise during the wash or even the drain pump.hard to be accurate on noise without listening to it but hopefully this will give you an idea or two
