Problems with a Micromark wireless security light?

I recently fitted a Micromark outdoor light with a remote wireless sensor (PIR) covering the side of my house. The system seems to work fine when detecting pedestrians. However if it is triggered by a car visiting the house it seems to freeze in the ON position, then I can only turn the light off by switching off the power to it. I suspect that it may be picking up some interference from the remote central locking of the cars. Has anybody else experienced this and any suggestions as to how it can be remedied. I should add that I have tried to contact Micromark, but I think that they went out of business before Xmas.

Thanks 'T' I had thought that PIRs needed heat and movement to trigger them, in my case the cars had been stationary for several hours with the floodlight remaining on. Sending back will be a last resort as I need something with a remote (wireless) sensor and the floodlight itself is located about 7 metres high on the house wall. I struggled to find something like this, any pointers as to other suitable makes if I have to replace?

I was looking at a wireless security system in B&Q today and took down Micromarks telephone helpline number but when I called today the number was unobtainable.

B&Q gave me another number but I was informed that Micromark went into recievership last year, so I am unsure whether to purchase or try Maplins.

Did you get a colour or Black and white camera?
I understand black and white picks up more detail in low light.

How wide a view does the camera detect, I want to point it from my porch to my front door but would like it to view a few feet to either side too.

It is unlikely to be the cars' remotes. More likely the heat of the engine(s). PIR stands for: Passive Infra Red sensor. Car engines chuck out a huge IR signature. Some PIRs have a sensitivity setting. Otherwise get a refund from the retailer (they are responsible not the manufacturer) and buy a new light.
