Mend McCulloch 2816 Mac Fuel Lines

Carburator?

I have a McCulloch weed wacker 28cc 2816 mac that I have already replaced the fuel lines on. But It still will not start. When I put a couple of drops of gas in the carb it will run for just a few seconds and then quit. The name on the carb is walbro and the numbers I got off the carb are 048 1wt 434. I think the carb is shot, But I would like a second opinion.
