TV: model BTV183DVD/B BUSH?

I brokes my remote controll, im waiting onm new one, but at the minute my channels are skipping when i change them using the buttons on tele, is there a way to correct this and get me the channels that are skipped, can i tune them in from the tv set itself as its not very straight forward. TY
