Mend Kenmore 80 Series Washer Works Fine

Kenmore 80 Series washer smells moldy !!!!!?

Everything works fine on my Kenmore series 80 top loading washing machine, but it has a moldy smell PUUUEEEE !!! Can someone tell me the correct way to remove the top so I can remove the tub to see if there is any wash cloths or sox between the inner tub and outer tub? hueyjill@sbcglobal.net

Well Huey, I say puuuueee to my Kenmore 80 series too. i have the same problem and have been able to get most of the mach dismantled enought to ascertain that our problem is moldy "scunge" at the top of the tub. It's obviously not clearing out so well. I just can't figure out how to get the tub out either.

As for 'How to mend it' I say Phooeey! Not one response to your question in the last year and a half- that stinks almost as bad as my washer.
