What is wrong with my KLIK radio-controlled wall clock?

I bought a KLIK wooden surround radio-controlled wall clock just over 2 years ago? Around Christmas time, the hands would start whirring around by themselves, usually about 4pm. Thinking that the battery was low, I have changed this but the clock will not re-set - the hands just whirr round by themselves, sometimes together and sometimes the hour hand advances in steps. Any ideas?
