Why won't my washer drain?

I have a hotpoint washer, model # vbxr1070w0www, and it is not draining, how can i fix that?

your washer has an electric water pump part #wh23x10003 its in the front right hand corner of the washer the front panel comes off by spring clips check it for strings or small clothing or coins put if its free put some power on it to see if its burnned up and replace

sounds like the pump to me. Remove it and free it off. it will probably feel warm/hot as it is siezed. Debris from the wash sometimes gets stuck within the pump and siezes it. remove the debris (coins, hair, string,hair etc) and refit. The pump is usually located at rear bottom of machine.
