car will not start?

hi i have changed my battery on my rover 200 sli... R.. reg but it will not start. I was sold the car with out the key code. can any body help. spoken to rover but thay said it will take 3-4 days to get it and it would cost £20 is there away around this problem (credit crunch) i need help ASAP AS COULD LOSE JOB.. hope some one can help ...reguards adam....

Get the immobiliser checked as it might be that.......and also check the earth from battery to the gearbox or engine.....

you need to find a guy that does does that sort of thing. i know someone near me. just ask in your local, someone will help you mate.
