Mend Zanussi 1425 Washing Machine Repair Faulty

Faulty pump in Zanussi 1425?

When putting the washer on this morning, the wash cycle would not start and the pump make a loud noise which I would liken to a collapsed ball race. How do I remove the pump - it looks like I have to remove the drum to get to the fixings - surely it must be simpler than this.
I am a qualified electrician so don't fret about the safety side!

tip machine on its back and you should be able to see how it fits.some are quater turn to release and some are pull out.both designs have a locking tab (piece of plastic stuck out) to stop them coming out during normal use.15 min job.if your lucky it might just be something stuck in the impellor.
