When i click on the my computer icon from either the desk top, run command via browse or in windows explorer it takes about two mins to open up. The computer is running fine on everything else, has no viruses, is well maintained but just cant understand why it takes so long to launch my computer.
Can anyone offer any help please. I really would be very appreciative.
Do you have any network drives connected? If so your computer could be searching for these drives before it loads explorer.

Do you have an HP scanner attached. If so, disconnect the scanner and try again. I have a similar problem with a hp USB scanner, it may be another USB device rather than a scanner. jl-uvc@ihug.co.nz
