my siemens extraklasse xls 140 wont spin?

my siemens extraklasse xls 140 seems to be going through the wash cycle but not washing and definitely not spinning.Is it the carbon brushes or could it be something else ? How easy is it to replace them for a basic diyer ? Many thanks in anticipation , Jacqueline

almost certain to be carbon brushes, possibly have one of two types of motors in machine, one set is easy to replace, but ensure the brush is put in the same way as the old one comes out. Other motor may have to be split, not something I would advise non expert to do
