Ign barrel causing problems?

I can start my car fine the only thing is, in order to get my radio to work. I need to keep constant pressure on the key whilst in the ignition barrel. Obviously if I'm driving this isn't an option. I assume it's the barrel that would need to be replaced. How easy is it to remove and is there a guide somewhere here or elsewhere to explain the steps needed to sort this? Thanks guys.
