Mend Honeywell RF2 Screen Settings Working

Why does my Digistat RF2 have a blank screen?

My Digistat RF2 does not show the control settings on the screen (just a blank screen) and is not working as a thermostat. We are using the override switch to control the heating. I have tried new batteries, but this hasn't helped. Any ideas?
