Hotpoint Dishwasher BPI680 - error flashing lights 5 and 7?

Hi - I have an hotpoint dishwasher model BFI680. It is not running through its cycle properly. It starts off OK - does a rinse but then stops. When I open the machine two lights are flashing (5 and 7 - Rapid & Auto) - I've called Hotpoint but even they weren't sure. Have booked for a Hotpoint engineer to come out but if anyone knows how to save £100 I would be grateful! Many thanks.
